WEPs Contribution Terms and Conditions
- Definition: for the purpose of these terms and conditions, “WEPs” shall refer to the Women’s Empowerment Principles; “You” or “Your” shall refer to the individual or entity that provides a financial contribution to the WEPs.
- WEPs is not a legal entity. It is a UN Women programme with the purpose of promoting gender equality and women’s empowerment in the workplace, marketplace, and community.
- Your financial contribution to the WEPs will be used to support WEPs related programme activities as developed and implemented from time to time by UN Women.
- Your financial contribution to the WEPs does not confer any particular status, privilege, or membership. WEPs activities are developed and implemented by UN Women, at its sole discretion, and You shall have no involvement in the internal decision-making process of UN Women in relation to WEPs or otherwise as a result of Your financial contribution.
- UN Women will implement WEPs activities and manage Your financial contribution in accordance with its applicable regulations, rules, policies, and procedures (including those related to direct and indirect costs, interest, internal and external audit, procurement, selection and engagement of consultants, intellectual property, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, as well as its risk management framework, and its policies for combating fraud and corruption).
- UN Women may include your name on the list of top donors displayed on the WEPs website. Your financial contribution to the WEPs will otherwise not be officially or publicly acknowledged by UN Women either through a press release or any form of public announcement. Your name or logo will not be publicly displayed by UN Women, You will not receive a report on the use of Your financial contribution, and Your financial contribution will only be recorded in the aggregate in UN Women’s financial report together with all other WEPs financial contributions.
- You are not permitted to describe or present Your financial contribution to the WEPs in a manner to suggest that UN Women has endorsed Your business, activities, products, or services and You are not permitted to use the UN Women’s name, logo, or emblem in any circumstances. You may, as a signatory to the WEPs, use the WEPs logo in accordance with the WEPs Logo Usage Guidelines.
- UN Women acknowledges that Your data, including personally identifiable information may be collected as a result of Your financial contribution. UN Women confirms that it has policies in place that meets all applicable data protection standards and legal requirements and that it will apply such policy in the collection of Your information. In light of UN Women’s privileges and immunities, You acknowledge that the General Data Protection Regulation or any other laws on data protection do not apply to or impose any obligation on UN Women.
- UN Women is a subsidiary organ of the United Nations and, as such, is granted certain privileges and immunities under international law; it also has privileges and immunities under bilateral agreements with individual countries. All those privileges and immunities are expressly reserved and are not waived.
- Any disagreements arising out of Your financial contribution will be solved through amicable discussions. Any disagreements that cannot be resolved this way will be referred to Your chief Executive Officer and UN Women Executive Director, together, for a final decision.
