How will my donation help?

All International Women’s Day donations support UN Women’s most flexible funding. This allows us to respond quickly to crises, reach underfunded communities, sustain long-term programmes, and coordinate global efforts to advance women’s rights. Through this support, UN Women works in 109 countries and territories, helping create lasting impact for women and girls worldwide.

Can I make a monthly donation?

Yes. Monthly giving provides reliable, sustained support that allows UN Women to plan ahead, stay present in communities, and create lasting impact for women and girls.

Are donations tax-deductible and will I get a tax receipt?

Tax rules vary from country to country, so donations to UN Women may not be tax‑deductible everywhere. UN Women is not a 501(c)3 organization in the United States. Each country has its own regulations for recognizing contributions to international organizations, and donors giving through UN Women’s National Committees should confirm the tax-deductibility of such donations with the National Committee itself. Because tax regulations differ widely, we encourage donors to speak with a local tax advisor to understand how their generous support of UN Women may or may not be tax-deductible where they live.

In what currency will I be charged?

You will be charged in the currency you select on the donation form at checkout. Donation transactions are processed through secure payment providers. Your bank or credit card provider may apply conversion fees depending on your location.

What if I made a mistake or need a refund?

If you made an error or need to request a refund, please contact donation@unwomen.org. Refunds are handled in accordance with UN Women’s Donation and Refund Policy . Refund eligibility depends on timing and payment provider constraints.
