‘One Win Leads to Another’ empowers young women and girls through sport in Brazil. The programme builds the leadership skills of adolescent girls through quality sport training, creates safe spaces for girls and gives them tools and knowledge to break social barriers and access services in case of violence. It also equips the participants with basic economic skills. UN Women and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) are piloting the programme in 2016 in disadvantaged areas of Rio de Janeiro with additional support from the Swedish Postcode Lottery Sport Foundation and Always LikeAGirl and in partnership with Women Win. Help us light the Olympic Flame in the imaginations of more girls by supporting their participation in this important programme. Through your support, we can expand this opportunity to more girls in Rio, across Brazil, and eventually to more countries in the world. UN Women will be tracking progress for the next four years as we lead up to the next Summer Games in Tokyo in 2020.
